Re: book of duets for beginner (adult) oboe player?

Being a beginner does not mean that you have to play arrangements of l music or music which is not classical music. Try some of the Telemann duets for two soprano instruments. Not all will be accessible at tempo for a beginner, but there is beautiful music to be found in many of the simple duets. There are "Six Sonatas" as well as "Six Sonatas in Canon" (my editions are "Sechs Sonatem...").
