I think Chikao at Boston Double Reed, Larry Mueller and I think Scott Bell work on gouging machines.

I am wondering if you could explain the differences between the Opus 1 gouger and the Graf machine, and what makes the Graf gouge so special for you.
I've been using Ross machines and now I want to make the switch because I feel there is something missing in the Ross gouge. I'm on the waiting list for an Opus 1, but thinking I should bite the bullet and buy a Graf. I think that the Opus 1 offered enough variation but seemed more idiot proof than a Graf.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
