I would suggest you try a "kit" of Hiniker bocals. Tom makes many different bore sizes and lengths.
The Hiniker English horn bocal is commonly refered to as the "Rolls-Royce" of English horn bocals. Pedro Diaz or the Met plays on Hiniker bocals, favoring, I believe, a gold alloy bocal of either 14 karat or 18 karat gold.
I find that the Hiniker 2 B 13 bocals will play well with almost any English horn. The the most popular Hiniker bocal seems to be the 2 B 12.
