What should one expect after an audition; to hear from a member of the audition committee as to your status, to wait three weeks and make the call to them yourself or just chuck it up to no response at all. I auditioned for an invitation only excellent orchestra and not knowing any better (my first real audition) have waited three weeks for any sort of positive or negative response. I played the excerpts and sightreading well (in other words I didn't play badly and deserve an answer) and from what I heard there was no opening, but the conductor just wanted to see what else was out there. I'm put off my their unprofessional manner. Should I be? Any body want to comment? Thanks
