How many abbreviations in various languages do we normally see printed on cor parts?
C.A. in English (UK) and French,
E.H. in US English and German,
C.I. in Italian and Spanish,
A.P. in Russian,
...
I thought it would be in various languages here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cor_anglais_(English_horn) but no. And take what they say with a pinch of salt - the 'Emmerdale Farm' theme was originally played on oboe, never on cor. They ditched the oboe theme around the time they ditched the word 'Farm' from the title.
Former oboe finisher
Howarth of London
1998 - 2010
The opinions I express are my own.
