My sympathies with the predicament. I am not certain that I am understanding the specifics of your difficulties, but suggest you have a plate (spatula) attached to the F# key, if it does not already have one, and have it bent upward. That would prevent your F# finger from sliding down and interfering with its neighbor, but would still assure that the F# is securely depressed. Also experiment with different thumb positions. If you do not have an adjustable thumb rest, have one installed, and try positions both higher and lower than your current set-up. Also consider a "Dutch thumb rest", which basically increases the diameter of the instrument there, which sometimes makes the hands more cooperative. When I started having age-related finger troubles (specifically, with securely closing the low D) on my d'amore, I changed instrument models, from Loree to Marigaux, which had ergonomics which better suited my hands.
