I will have an amateur pianist (who plays the oboe) that i believe can do quite well.

Some ideas:
The Marcello Concerto
The Pergolesi/Barbirroli Concerto
From Han de Vries's "Das Standard Repertoire", Grieg's Symphonic Dance No. 2 - Allegretto Grazioso
Wagner's Tristan und Isolde BIG english horn solo with oboe? (My house has a relatively high ceiling and i can hide upstairs for best results!)
Songs (Rachmaninov Vocalise, Fauré Après un rêve etc?)
Bach G (a) minor Partita Allemande
Ravel - Piece en form de Habanera
First etude from Bozza 18
Pop songs! (Maybe Gabriel's oboe...that's always a winner for younger audiences...)

I need something that sounds virtuoistic but is not virtuoistic to practise, if you know what i mean..i cannot afford to play Pascuslli, nor want to bore the audience with Hummel...any ideas?
