I performed these for the first time a couple of years ago. I do very slow finger sliding with increasing air speed and very little lipping up, only because I don't want the upper note to sound sharp when I get there.
I would encourage you to practice these passages with much more glissando than you might think you would want in performance. It was my experience that in a performance situation, the glissandi sounded quicker to the audience (and on the recording) than they did to me.
