 E-horn shaper tip recommendations?
Author: wrowand

Does anyone have good experiences to share concerning english horn shaper tips? I'm currently using a Rigotti -1 which is about 8.3mm at the tip. I tie on at 60mm and finish at 57mm, but I'd like something that stays up to pitch in the high register a bit better. Does anyone have some experience and a recommendation?
I see that there are several much narrower shaper tips on the market (from Carlos Coehlo, Stuart Dunkel, Jeanné etc.). I think a narrower tip would do the trick but I worry about giving up too much power.
