It's a horizontal(ish) bulge just below the sternum - I know several brass players that have this too.

Talking of Croydon, it used to take me at least an hour to get from New Malden across to Whitehorse Rd (near Selhurst station) if I went over there at the 'wrong' time, by which time I'd dump my car on the pavement and walk up as that was far quicker than sitting in traffic.
