definitely back away from the fibercane reed!! lol but seriously, do as Fritz has said and find yourself someone who can make reeds for you. my huge problem was that i had played on store-bought reeds for so long that when i started taking private lessons, my teacher told me that i was incredibly biting down when playing. i read that people learn to bite so much b/c of playing on store-bought reeds in an effort to control the raucous sound those stupid reeds produce. my short experience playing on a fibercane reed has been that it produced such a wild, harder to control sound. these reeds will do no good for you! don't make this mistake i made--start playing on quality reeds sooner!

hope this helps... :)
