My opinion was strictly concerning the tone, as I have never even thought about an oboe that would hide tuning or response problems . . . how great would that be!

cjwright, it seems to me that Royales get a very thick sound, although I definitely agree with you that ak and regular bore Lorees require a high level of reed making. My regular bore Loree is very picky, or maybe I am just more picky when playing on it!
