Howsabout HOBWAH as an approximation of the French pronunciation?
It's available in California....but I don't think I want to pay for it.
My first California plates (randomly assigned) were 1RNA314. Ribonucleic acid and the first three digits of pi. Very appropriate for a chemistry grad student, which is what I was at the time.
