You're probably better finding a used plastic oboe for outdoor playing to keep your wooden Yamaha safe.

Have a look out for a used plastic Fox or even a higher spec Selmer Signet, both of which usually show up on the famous auction site - and may cost around the same price (or even less) than a new plastic top joint.
