The Vienna oboe has a different bore taper, the bell taper is different and the reed is more like Baroque or Classical oboe reeds - and the playing style and tone is different if you compare the Vienna Phil oboists with other orchestras that play French style oboes (even German orchestras).
The fingerings are different in that Viennese oboists use more harmonic and cross fingerings in the upper register, the keywork is much more basic compared to a Gillet Conservatoire oboe and only descends to low B, though low Bb models have been made.
