I've never done any type of maintenance on my double reeds. Every now and then, I hear about oiling the wood or keys (or both), keeping a moisturizing tool inside the case, and brushing the body clean of dust. I've never done any of this--and my horns seem to be okay.
Do you do any of this? What do you think is the minimum required to keep the instruments in good shape? Anything else I didn't mention? Thanks.
