 reeds shipped in plastic tubes
Author: kdrew922

I've seen a few reedmakers ship their reeds inside small, clear, plastic tubes. Anyone have any idea what kind of tubing is used, or where it can be acquired? I'm not talking about the cylindrical plastic cases many machine-made reeds are sold in. The kind of tubing I'm talking about looks as if it's been cut into individual 3" pieces from longer tubes, with the reeds then affixed to the inside by paperclips.

Thanks,
Drew
