It is with sadness that I share the information I received from my teacher this morning, that Paul Covey, creator of Covey Oboes, died early today.
As some of you probably know, Paul had been living with MS for some years now.
I will post further details as I learn them.

I studied with Paul Covey when he was in Baltimore and just beginning to make his oboes. The things he taught me I remembered all my life. I was saddened when I learned he had MS, and even more saddened now that he is gone. I'm glad the oboe I have is one that he probably made himself.
