I am curious what streaming music channels/services others on this board listen to? I am a big fan of Interlochen Public Radio's classical station, they play a great mix of orchestra, small ensemble and wind band music, and they have an android app so I can play it on my phone anywhere and it's add free.
Are there other good ones out there?

Spotify
For ten dollars a month you get a higher definition signal. Good for critical listening.

Paul,
When I tried Spotify, I was disappointed. I found that it would only play one movement of a piece and then jump on to another completely different song. Also, I would keep getting the repeats of the same pieces showing up in the playlists, but performed by different groups so Spotify thought they were different songs. Do you have this issue or a way around it?
I have had the same problems with Pandora as well. They don't seem to be as useful for multi-movement pieces and or songs with multiple recordings by different artists.

You have to look for "albums," or search for artist. I was pleasantly surprised to find a massive collection of Karl Leister recordings just searching under his name.
There are quirks to the system but I use this mainly to listen to specific pieces rather than just having it on as background music. When I search for specific recordings by specific conductors that they don't have, I can usually find them on YouTube.

I subscribe to the Hi-Def audio service Qobuz, which I use on my home audio system, via a BluOS streaming module. Their catalog is extensive, and is searchable. Audio quality is amazing! The cost is less than 1 CD per month; and it is my understanding that Qobuz pays the most to artist royalties of all the streaming services.

For me, Spotify has the most precise alorythm. It suggestions and when it autoplays after finishing an album, are the most precise I've found.

I had no idea that was a benefit. Thanks for letting us know! The orchestral excerpts online library that I just found while poking around the ICA website is pretty cool as well. I hope the number of entries grows!
