I've been using the same Bb and bass Cordier clippers since I was in college, graduated in 62, have clipped thousands of reeds and I think the're both great. As long as I take my time setting the reed on straight at the tip as well as the back I get a perfect clip every time whether they're my home made reeds or commercial reeds.
