When the District/Regional Audition throws a curve ball
Author: DavidBlumberg

Hey, any stories of your District or Regional Audition throwing you a curve ball?

Last year a student of mine was asked for the chromatic scale "Tongued up and Slurred Down" - he did a double take on that one.

The audition information specifies **slurred up and tongued down**.

Another year a student told me that they were asking for the Cadenza when the judges are specifically told NOT to use a cadenza in the audition.

So be prepared for anything, it can and maybe will happen.
