Winslow ligature
These were made (I think?) back in the late 1980's or early 1990s by a man (Mr. Winslow!) in, I believe, somewhere in Wisconsin. I had a couple of these back in the day. They were pretty good - the concept was that the cushions would adapt to the thickness of the reed to hold the reed on the mouthpiece without uneven clamping, etc.. Unfortunately, changing/replacing the cushions was hardly easy (they seemed to erode to a point where they would break off) plus, due to the girth of the ligature, it forced one to hold the mouthpiece out at an angle that wasn't optimal. It also tended to mark up the mouthpiece.
Good, interesting concept, but needing more refinement, etc.

Unlike tesla trucks, Winslow ligatures could be legally purchased and used in all European countries.
