 tongue splitting
Author: Philip Caron

This was new to me. People into body modification can get their tongue split down the middle. There's YT vids of them and their tongues. The two halves appear fully mobile and independent.

It looks, ah, unusual. at least to me. The procedure is said to be somewhat risky and recovery rather problematic and painful. Yet, it is done.

It makes me wonder about tonguing technique: one could alternate tongues, what could be better? Has anyone ever heard of a clarinetist having this modification?
