I received this mail today from David Leeson, cousin of this group's late friend Dan Leeson. He is working with Dan's papers, especially regarding his Mozart research, and seeks advice for handling of this archive. Here's the message:
Hello James and [Dr. Allen Segal], I'm contacting you as a result of your postings

I have recently reviewed several boxes of the remaining stored Mozart
records of my cousin Dan Leeson, instrumentalist, Mozart scholar and one
of the editors of the Neue Mozart-Ausgabe, who passed away in 2018.
The materials include examples of Dan's writings and correspondence, and
may be of archival interest. I would like to advise his heirs on a
suitable path to donate the stored papers and books, and will appreciate
your advice in the matter.

Is there anywhere other than the ICA collection (currently, I think, at the University Of Maryland library) where Dan's papers would be a valuable fit? Since these boxes sound like they are focused on Dan's Mozart research, is there a Mozart-focused archive that would be more appropriate?

You might want to contact historical clarinet maker and performer Thomas Carroll in Boston, who regularly performs the Mozart on his own hand-built modern reconstruction of the Stadler basset clarinet. Thomas may have some leads on a suitable archive for Dan's research: https://www.carrollclarinet.com
