Petrosv,

You may want to check in on The Ethnic Clarinet board here: http://test.woodwind.org/clarinet/BBoard/list.html?f=2

Halkias is amazing- one of my hereos, really. I have seen him play several times here in the Boston area. A few years ago I saw him playing a big dance at a Greek church, he was close to 85 years old and he played, I believe, a 2-3 hour dance set, non-stop, standing up the whole time, and he was more and more on fire as the set went on. I have never seen anything like it. His playing is so beautiful (I love Epirotika!). He was playing with his long-time musical partner, Antonis Kyritsis (not sure if I transliterated that properly), who was also stupendous, probably in his 80's or close to it. What a voice!

Anyway, good luck! Sounds like you are on the right track with your equipment. To me, Greek clarinet is really the pinnacle of clarinet playing!
