 Starting my daughter out
Author: psmartin

So I just started my daughter out on the Collegiate Wood Clarinet and it came with Geo. M. Bundy 3 mouthpiece that I felt was way to restrictive, I play on my trusty B45 until I have the chance to upgrade. In the meantime I have switched her to a K9 Ebonite, from my collection, with a Hite ligature and we are beginning to make progress. I have purchased two first level books and will work through those. Any other thoughts or suggestions?

I do not know the opening of your K9 Ebonite; B45 is a quite open MP.
Maybe, you could consider something less open to decrease danger of biting- something I was doing for many years, "thanks' to my then B45, at least partially.
