This has nothing to do with clarinet and only tangentially music-related. I apologize. I'm past frustration and hoping maybe one of you has a suggestion.
My wife ordered a *set* of viola strings from Amazon. They sent a *single* Cello A string. She went online at the Amazon website and did an exchange. They sent exactly the same wrong item the second time (arrived today). Having failed to correct the mistake with their online widgets, I want to talk to (or even chat online with) a live CS agent. But I can't find a way to do it.
Does anyone know a phone number for Amazon Customer Service or has anyone here found a way to get to an agent via online chat?
Any help would be appreciated on the BBoard or by private email (click my name). TIA

Chat is fairly easy to get to as well. Go to the Customer Service area within the Amazon webpage or app and select the specific item within the specific order. Start the complaint communications process and you should soon be presented with live chat option.

Where did you find that phone #?
I did find the link to a chat, which was going to start automated but offered a live agent if one was needed. But when I clicked on it I ended up getting what amounted to 404 errors ("Something went wrong... with a picture of a pet animal ...Go to Home Page).
Thanks for the phone #. We'll try that later.

Hi Karl,
It's definitely possible, but does take a lot of hunting. The hardest is if you are trying to return something that is ineligible for return, like food, and you have been sent entirely the wrong item. I did manage it though, and once you get through they are very nice. I got a complete refund as soon as I worked out how to ask for it.
Good luck there.

Thanks, everyone. We solved the problem by doing a straight return ("No longer need the item") and ordering it from one of the 3rd party vendors who had an offer on the Amazon website and with whom I've dealt before and who was selling the strings at a lower price). I'll keep these references, especially the phone number, for future reference.
