So, I figured out that I don’t sound fuzzy, but I sound spitty. Now it leaves me to wonder, what can I do to fix it. Any tips? All the tips I see on the internet are pretty vague and don’t help me with my problem. I want to know how the spitty tone becomes a thing etc…

Does it happen right when you start playing, or after a while? When I hear "spitty", I think of the fuzzy, bubbly sound that happens when the mouthpiece and instrument fill with condensation after playing for a while.

I had similar issues, especially on throat G-sharp and A. It turned out that there was "gunk" in the tone holes for these notes, as well as in the register tube. My tech took off the keys and cleaned them out which solved the problem.
This kind of issue can arise if one uses the swab to dry the sockets since it may transfer cork grease to the bore and hence to the tone holes. Better to dry the sockets with a separate cloth or paper towel.

Every now and then you can get a little saliva in between the reed and the rails of the mouthpiece. You can draw inward quickly with the air (like sucking on a straw) and that will get the gunk out.

I second Mark's and Paul's suggestions. Gunk (and even water that hasn't dried overnight) in the small tone holes near the top and saliva under the reed can cause a "spitty" sound. What have you already tried besides different reed strengths (when you thought the tone was airy and fuzzy instead of spitty)?
The most direct way to clear saliva on the back of the reed or between the reed and rails is to remove the reed when necessary and wipe the water off against a handkerchief, a paper towel or just your pant leg or shirt sleeve.
