Vandoren Hygro reed case vs. Daddario humidipak
Author: PeterinToronto 2017

Hi everyone,

Hope all is well with y'all around the world..a student is asking about which of these to buy. I've only used the black Rico/now D'addario humidipak cases for a long time, does anyone have experience with the Vandoren Hygro model with the sponge and indicator patch? I'm wondering if there's a clear preference.

Thanks a lot,

Peter Stoll

I’ve seen many people use the vandoren’s case with the sponge in it, and the only complain ive seen is that the cover went missing so they can no longer use the sponge to keep the humidity but really, its not that hard to keep the lid from going missing
its a good case, I’ve never used the ricos before so I can’t say much about them
