Valuation of Yamaha YCL-CSG-III-L-02 Bb and A Clarinets

Hi everyone,

I'm selling my Yamaha YCL-CSGIII-L-02 Bb and A clarinets and wondered if anyone could give me an idea at what price I should sell them.

Both are in very good/excellent condition with no signs of wear and have been newly serviced.

If anyone can help it'd be much appreciated as I've scoured the internet but no joy.

I checked eBay for "sold" CSGIII clarinets- there was one in A that sold recently for $4300.
It was played supposedly once and had Hamilton plating which I think is more money than Silver plating.

The above can give you an idea about the asking price. You need to keep in mind that eBay takes about 15% of the selling price.
If there is a shop in your area that takes instruments on consignment, then they may be able to help you to sell the clarinets or at least price them.

The simplest way, if you are going to buy another set of clarinets, would be to trade yours in.

Thanks, much appreciated, especially re the advice about eBay.

I'm buying particular new clarinets from someone who doesn't deal in trading, so I'll find someone who'll buy them, so when I place them online I'll check charge rate etc.

Placing them on consignmentat at a pro shop or a music store would be more simple than selling on eBay since the store deals with advertising, shipping, potentials returns.
