I know from some internet research, here and elsewhere , that New Orleans Jazz Queen Doreen Ketches is reported to play a Shine brand clarinet.
But what I see here, with the multiple tone holes in the bottom joint, seems to not match pictures of Shine models.
Does anyone know what kind of clarinet Ms. Ketchens plays in the link below?
It's a just a curiosity thing....
TIA

I have it second hand from someone who studied with her for awhile that, as a famous New Orleans jazz musician, Doreen is gifted a great deal of equipment to try. So she can kind of pick and choose what she likes best at any given time. She played a Shine for awhile. Now apparently a Royal Global Firebird. Maybe next year it will be something else. It must be nice to get to try all of that equipment. We get to hear her on Royal Street on a regular basis. She's great on whatever she's playing!
