I have seen CTs with both made in France bells and Ekhart stamped bells (which I was told were made in USA but I have no information on that). The CTs seemed to have problems with the bell as I have seen several and they were all cracked or had fractures that made them sound funky when tapped with a fingernail. So it wouldn't be surprising if the bell was replaced. I recently bought a made in France vintage Selmer bell and it fits so I am going to use it on mine but am keeping the original bell for its historical value.
