Hello, I recently bought a Vintage R13 Bb Clarinet on eBay and I’m wondering if it can be played without problems in an orchestra tuned to 442 Hz? Does anyone here have experience with that in an orchestra?
Also, I’m looking for a clarinet case with good protection for this instrument, can you recommend me one?

Shorter barrel, non-13 Series Vandoren or similar should work fine. If it’s just one clarinet (not a set) the inexpensive Protec works great. If you have a set or just want beefier protection I’d recommend the BAM cases.

The best way to find out is to play the instrument.
The barrel may have been shortened already by a previous owner; if it has an "F" before the serial number it is already tuned to 442Hz.
I would play the clarinet for a few min. (long notes on lower E, F, F#) to make sure the whole instrument is warm, then check the tuning across the whole range.
Then you will have an idea how it tunes in general and what notes are out of tune and can decide what to do.
If the instrument is dry (was not played for a long time), it's tuning may change somewhat after it gets humidified, but general tuning probably would not change much (if at all).
