For those of us who don't require prescription glasses, but due to advancing age, require "reading" glasses to read up close (computers, print and music etc.) I recently found some reading glasses at the "Dollar" stores that will make sure one always has a pair handy. I tried to post a photo but when I clicked "Add Attachments" nothing happened, thus the three posts (Sorry, board editor feel free to delete them).

The glasses are very compact, and the height of the lenses is only 3/4".
They come with a small case with a pocket clip.

The glasses are small and with the case they are about size of a fat magic marker. With the narrow lenses it's very easy to see the music and the Conductor without moving your head, and the best part is the price $1.25.

Been there, done that. It'll buy you a few years, but in the end you'll wind up spending more on 'readers' in every room than a decent pair of progressives.

But it is a decent stop gap and perhaps an unavoidable period of transition.
