When to reinstate the trademark?

I am about to commence restoration of a fine vintage clarinet and cannot decide whether use my trademark crayon prior to treating the body with bore oil or after in order to avoid any bleeding of the trademark. Suggestions please.

You can use it at any point, but using it before oiling and polishing the joints will mean it'll get worn out a bit compared to redoing the logos after all the bodywork has been done. Logo restoration is only as successful as how well the logos were stamped or engraved to begin with.

If you are using a paint crayon wipe of the excess with a cotton bud and then use a pointed cane (not metal) skewer to clean up the details. Use a bit of turpentine to dampen the skewer if needed. Its a pain:)
