Has anyone had experience with a Kooiman thumb rest on an Eb clarinet? Because of arthritis, I need something to aid my hand position on my Eb. I just ordered the Etude 3 Small hoping it will work.
I do use an Etude 3 on my Bb and absolutely love it. I am hoping the Etude 3 Small will fit better on my Eb. Thanks.

Strap might work too. I use a strap on both Bb and eefer.

Hi,
I wondered if you had seen these slings? They are made for people with arthritis, and support the entire weight of the instrument so that no weight is on the thumb. I use one, and it enables me to play standing up, rather than having to sit down and rest the weight of the instrument on my knee.

Thank you. I did try a strap but I need something more stable to keep from bumping the last right hand trill key.
The Kooiman on my Bb keeps everything really stable so my hand position is better and not collapsing. I have hypermobile or hyperextended thumbs so they tend to collapse.

I have not seen this before. My concern would be switching quickly from Eb to Bb. But thank you for the suggestion.
