Thanks for this thread! I recently started learning bass and I have small hands. My RH pinky has slipped off a particular key several times...once it bent my nail back a little, ouch (and I keep them very short). I never thought of adding something for texture.

I looked up the micropore tape and it appears to come in white or tan only? I'm going to keep searching for something clear.
