interestingly, this process of strengthening bamboo is similar to that of Legere synthetic reeds. Both involve the use of polymer fibres. I'm thinking that this is definitely possible, given the current work on the Forestone reeds, but it's going to feel less like cane reeds and more like plastic. I certainly wouldn't mind.
