 Bass Clarinet mouthpiece compatibility
Author: Confused man

So I've got a Selmer-Bundy Bass Clarinet (Not sure what model or year) but I've been recommended to upgrade to a Vandoren BD5 or Backun Vocalise CG mouthpiece, however i do not know if they would fit in the neck joint. The part where the mouthpiece attaches has a diameter of 1 1/4 of an inch or 3mm. If you anyone could help me, Thanks!

Pretty much all modern Boehm system bass clarinets use the same size of mouthpiece. Either of those will fit on the Bundy.

Call the seller and ask the dimensions.

As jdbass writes, in theory all mouthpieces should be compatible with the Bundy neck socket. You do occasionally get mouthpieces/necks that don't fit but this is the exception, not the rule, and doesn't usually happen with "major brands".
