RIP Joseph Horovitz.
(May 26, 1926 – February 9, 2022)

Here is one the most beautiful pieces of music composed for clarinet. His "II. Lento, quasi andante" from his Clarinet Sonatina. Composed for and recorded here by Gervase de Peyer and Gwenneth Pryor.

Thank you, Mr. Horovitz, for all the great music.

Many happy memories of playing his Sonatina. A highlight for me was playing the work at a noontime recital at St. Martin in the Field in London 21 years ago. Good times.

That's lovely music. I'm sorry to hear that he's gone.
