Can't you get the crack repaired or has it gone right through to the sockets? I'm sure it can be repaired with carbon fibre bands.

Your only other option is use a Peter Eaton Elite barrel if you have no luck sourcing a B&H 1010 barrel.

Clarinets Direct sometimes has them or may be able to source one.

Dawkes didn't have any a couple of years back. Clarinets Direct sometimes have the odd one, but not when I last checked. Some years ago I dropped a 1010 short barrel on a stage. Naturally it fell through a hole. I heard it roll around under the stage and then drop, land with a thud and then roll some more. I've searched for it several times, but never found it. Unfortunately that stage is a long way from where I live and I very rarely visit that town.

A few years ago I needed a short 1010 (61mm) barrel and luckily Wood Wind and Reed in Russell Street Cambridge, UK helped out at around UK90 resized to my requirement.

I've got a boosey and Hawkes 63mm barrel, but no idea if it's for 1010.

To the original poster: I'm so sorry. This search must be heartbreaking. I was fortunate in the 1010 culture and had mine come to me whole and entire. I can't imagine having to search for parts for this rarest of clarinets. I do have one of the last ones they made, with the Eaton improvements, and that basically throws your right hand index finger out of synch. For that reason, and because I can't get a decent mpc for it, I seldom play mine.

Uppingham,

Did you locate a replacement 1010 barrel? There's one advertised for sale at 2nd Winds Australia (located in Brunswick) for a reasonable price AU 80
65mm but I've no idea of condition or whether still available
