Only a total idiot would approach these works as "solo with accompaniment". Virtually every article/master class/lesson I have ever seen over the last 50 years of my life has stressed this, it is hardly a revolutionary idea. Of course even the most well intentioned musicians will have time/rehearsal limitations. Many also have what I'd call "imagination limitations".
This is a fine recording for sure, I'm not debating THAT by any means!
