Thanks, Hans. Interesting, quality instruments might be a safer investment than blockchain currency!
The prices are in Dutch 'guldens', the currency of that time. In 1973 the exchange rates were between 0,40 and 0,31 USD per DFL and 0,16 to 0,13 GBP per DFL (old times, when rates where flying all over the place).

As I recall, I paid about $450 for my Couf Superba I alto about that year. I liked my Couf, but from an investment standpoint, a Selmer Mark VI would have been better.
