I put a note up here, I don't know how many years ago, about the parts to the Bernard Herrman Clarinet Quintet. They are almost impossible to find, though a couple of libraries have copies. I believe the San Francisco Public Library has a copy. The University of California at Santa Barbara has the Bernard Herrman collection, so they probably have it, though I VERY strongly doubt they would ever lend out the original hand-copies..
However, interlibrary loan is an iffy thing, and if you are not in the United States, it's HIGHLY unikely that any US Library will send you anything. The parts are long out of publication. So.....umpty-ump years ago I broke every copyright rule in the book and scanned them. This piece of music is an important one. It's a fantastic Quintet and done by an extremely important American composer. It deserves to get played. Why it's not in publication, I cannot understand but it's still not published by anybody.
If you would like copies, shoot me an e-mail at alanheb@protonmail.com
and I'll forward them along to you. I'm sure this is illegal, but you know what? I don't care. The piece needs to get out.
The previous e-mail that I gave out was my work e-mail, and I'm still hearing from people at that address but I'm going to be retiring in the next year or so. So use the protonmail address. You can also reach me at: swtartan@gmail.com

Dear Alan, It's good to hear about this wondrous work; a major contribution to the clarinet repertoire. That it has not been published is disgraceful.
