Awesome Karl. In fact I play throat Bb this way (e.g. longer tones) whenever I can because IMHO, on my setup, it sounds a zillion time better than throat Bb fingered with the left thumb and pointer finger: even with additional resonance fingers.

This reminds me of Stephen Fox's hardware attachment for the left pinky C#/G# key that allows the trill to be done with the right pinky. http://www.sfoxclarinets.com/Accessories.html#clar%20acc about 3/8ths the way down the webpage.

Certainly, in a "what can we do next" Backun clarinet for "$37,000 US" I anticipate a right hand controlled (without moving the hand off the thumb support) lever to effect this.
