I recently made a click track to help in nail down the tempo changes in the second cadenza/decoy game from the Miraculous Mandarin, and I thought some people here might find it useful. Here's a vocaroo link (https://vocaroo.com/194elVX57hbj) to the track for anyone who thinks it might be helpful to them.
Notes:
All the tempos are taken from the study score/orchestral part in my college's library; I've also tried to approximate any printed accelerandos and ritardandos.
The track starts with two empty bars of 4/4, leading into the 4/4 bar containing a half note D slurred to a quarter note A.
All bars of 3/2 (except the final one) contain subdivided beats in order to show rits/ accels
The last two 4/4 bars (containing the D# to B sextuplets) are in 8.
The track ends with a bar of 3/2
Enjoy!

Ok, that was hysterical!
I am in the middle of a few things and half read what you said (pretty typical for me) so the linked sound actually caught me off guard. I was going to say something like, "Gosh that is a compelling excerpt!"
But as I re-read and thought about rhythm. This is a perfect example of where one should think of rhythm as "length of time." Moving from one moment to another that is much faster or slower should still come off fluid and natural. Even though moving the dial on a metronome makes it almost impossible to get unnatural ratios of the lengths of notes, the "excerpt" still felt herky-jerky to me.......somehow.

Haha, I can imagine the clicking came as quite a surprise!
And I totally agree about rhythm. I'm not a huge fan of click tracks, because I think they can easily become a crutch; however, in the case of this one excerpt, because there are so many specific tempo changes marked in such a short time, my thinking is that it could be useful to get a feel for the ratios of tempos.
Thanks for the response!
