I would counter with:

Our church offers Facebook Live events via an iPhone. Once we added a perfunctory usb lavalier the difference was palpable. But yes, you need to go into the settings to shut off the automatic sound options. All of those are great for just getting a constant spoken dialogue from a person, but only serve to compress (remove dynamics) anything else to the point of sounding completely unnatural.

All I know about this mic is what I saw in the short video but Sampson makes decent entry level microphones and this one seems ok. Per the video, make sure your absolute loudest notes just tap the flashing red light (just barely).....so that all your other notes (dynamically speaking) are well under max volume. Listen back to make sure the loud notes don't distort (cracking, popping, anything that doesn't sound like music).
