 Yamaha SEVR bore and barrels

Greetings. I have not been on this board in many years since probably the early to mid 2000's. It's good to be back.

I have been testing out a large batch of Yamaha SE Artists (Bb's and A's) of late and loved them. Came very close to purchasing a Bb (the plan was to sort the Bb first before the A) but noticed that once warmed up, I had several intonation problems that seemed to get less stable the more the instrument warmed up. It was to the point where embouchure / mouthpiece adjustments could not correct this adequately to my liking, and using material in various tone holes to adjust pitch would 'help' one issue but worsen the other. This was the case with every Artist Bb I tried so, in short, I have given up on this model. This is despite the fact that I have come across a couple of SE Artist A's that are really good and seem to have much more stable pitch tendencies than their Bb counterparts.

To my questions - I have come across a new Yamaha SEVR with Eb aux key that I quite like. It doesn't appear to have the intonation problems I had on several Artist models, but has a similar feel and sound. As it only comes with a 65mm barrel (I tend to always play with a longer barrel when the instrument comes with two) I am finding it is quite sharp across the range particularly when I'm in a warm room.

Question 1 - Would 66-67mm barrels of other brands (i.e. Backun, Fobes, Aidoni) be feasible on this model as they seem mainly designed for Buffet?

Question 2 - Does anyone know if the SEVR bore is exactly the same or slightly different to the SE Artist bore? I find it curious that I don't have the same intonation problem that I had on about 6 or 7 Artist Bb's I tested when they both have an SE bore.

Thanks in advance.
