You can have the speaker key touch raised up to make it more comfortable to use - it should sit higher than the LH thumb plate while that's held down so you can move onto it without going over the edge of the thumb plate, then when in use it's level with the thumb plate.

It will require a much thicker cork than it currently has to make that possible. The venting on the thumb plate is good - you want that to open as much as it can within reason for a clear F#.
