 Hello,
I bought a vintage Clarinet which engraved Francais Ariste on the bell
I tried to search for information about it but nothing has showed up so far
I was told that this is the Marlene stencils and I would like to know more about this
Please help me if you have any information about manufacturer or year of making
 Thank you so much

You misspelled the name: it is artiste, like artist in english. The whole name says "french artist" (in english).

Going by the wide pillar flanges, it smacks of Malerne as you've already been told. They were probably one of the most prolific French makers who made clarinets (and other instruments) for just about everyone who wanted their own branded clarinets and also for big names like Buffet, Conn and Selmer (London). They were bought by Marigaux in the '70s.

It's not a big deal but I think it's more accurate to say that SML bought the Malerne factory. According to Jack Linton, for whose father Malerne stencilled clarinets from around 1960 -72, the Malerne company ceased operations in the early 70's when Robert Malerne died. No successor could be found to carry on the business. Eventually, SML bought the Malerne factory in 1975 from Malerne's heirs.
